Support that does not know the business
A distant desk, a new technician every time, and issues that never quite close.
Based in Northamptonshire
NovaStak Ltd works with small and medium businesses across the UK. We are based in Northamptonshire. This page is for small and medium businesses in and around the town that want managed IT, from small businesses to more complex multi-user and multi-site environments.
That means day-to-day support, Microsoft 365, security, cloud and backups, with someone you can actually speak to. Most work is remote. We visit when a failed switch, office installation or similar job needs us on site.
If this is familiar
Owners and operations managers usually get in touch when IT has become a drain on the week, not because they want a new project.
A distant desk, a new technician every time, and issues that never quite close.
Wi-Fi, logins, printers and email fail again because the cause is never fixed.
Licences, sharing and leavers’ accounts were never finished after the original setup.
Phishing, lost laptops and untested restores sit in the background until they matter.
A director or office manager spends half the week resetting passwords.
More people, another site, or a new system, and the current infrastructure cannot keep up.
Day-to-day cover
Managed support is the outsourced IT function: a way for staff to get help, plus the routine work that stops the same faults coming back. That includes patch management, antivirus and endpoint security, firewall and network monitoring, and on-site or remote support. For a Northampton office that usually includes the network, Windows PCs, printers and the people working from home.
We look after the systems you already run. If you already have a capable person on site, we can work alongside them.
Email, files and sign-in
Most growing companies here already live in Microsoft 365. The problems are rarely “we do not have it”. They are messy licences, shared mailboxes nobody owns, files in five places, and leavers who still have company email on a phone.
We help with mailboxes, Teams, sharing, Entra ID sign-in and Intune for company devices. We work with these Microsoft products; this page does not claim official Microsoft partner status.
Practical protection
For most small and medium businesses, trouble usually starts with email, a reused password or an unpatched laptop, not a film-style attack. We focus on those controls first: who can sign in, how mail is protected, and whether you could recover if something got through.
That is enough for many insurance and customer questionnaires to stop being a blank stare. We do not list certifications or badges here until they can be shown as fact.
Servers that someone owns
Moving a server to Azure does not remove the need to look after it. Bills surprise people, snapshots pile up, and one person “who knows Azure” becomes a single point of failure when they are on leave.
If you already have cloud resources, we can take over the day-to-day: access, upkeep and a clear picture of what you run. If you do not need the cloud, we will say so.
If something fails
An untested backup is not a plan. We help you know what is copied, where it lives, and whether a restore is actually possible after ransomware, a failed server or a badly timed delete.
Microsoft 365 is not automatically “safe” either. Deleted mail and SharePoint files still disappear. Backup belongs with support and security, not as an afterthought.
Getting started
You do not need a long tender. We learn how the business works, then take on the IT in a planned way so email and devices keep running.
How you work today, who gets stuck, and what good would look like.
Microsoft 365, devices, backups, network and the risks that matter.
Accounts, access and how to get help, written down rather than left in someone’s head.
Day-to-day help, plus the routine work that stops the same faults returning.
Why NovaStak
You get competent engineering and explanations a director can act on.
Advice is based on the environment in front of us. When something breaks, you are not starting from zero.
Support is planned around your small and medium business, infrastructure and how you operate. You are not handed to a distant service desk.
Based in Northamptonshire, working with small and medium businesses across the UK. Most support is remote. We visit when the job needs hands on the infrastructure.
If the job is a one-off project rather than ongoing support, see IT projects, IT consultancy or the full services list. Local work also covers network installation and support and IT Procurement.
Where we work
We are based in Northamptonshire. We support small and medium businesses around Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes, including Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby, Rushden and Rugby, and across the rest of the UK. We visit when an on-site visit is useful, for a new office, a failed switch, or equipment that cannot be diagnosed remotely. We do not list a public walk-in address, and we do not list an office in each town.
Most day-to-day support is remote, so being outside Northampton does not stop us looking after the IT. Call 01604 422352 or email enquiries@novastak.co.uk.
